Welcome to September! If you spend much time on Facebook or Instagram, I’m sure you’ve seen what everyone is most excited about – the return of Pumpkin Spice Lattes at Starbucks of course! And while we are too (I mean, really – who isn’t?), we’re actually most excited about the new events we have lined up for this month! Keep reading below to find out what we’re up to and where you can find us!

On Sunday, September 13th we’re teaming up with Smooches Pooches of Livermore for National Pet Memorial Day and have created an event to help you remember your pets and also increase awareness of the many options available to memorialize beloved pets who have passed away. We will be commemorating the day by hosting a “meet and greet” so those of you that haven’t had a chance to meet us yet can come out and talk with us.  Custom pet portrait artist, Dog Doodlez, will also be there and will be painting your pets portrait that day with 5% of the proceeds being given to pets in need. To cap off the afternoon, we will be having a remembrance ceremony for our pets who have passed, which will include a candle lighting vigil, reciting of the cherished Rainbow Bridge poem, and an eco-friendly rainbow balloon release. Here’s the schedule for the day and address of Smooches Pooches, where our event will be held. Please come out and spend your afternoon with us!

Where: Smooches Pooches, 2074 First Street, Livermore, CA

When: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

1:00 – 4:00 Meet Dog Doodlez Portraitist Britt Maag

Our second event of the month is Paws in the Park Charity Walk and Animal Festival at Amador Valley Community Park in Pleasanton on Sunday, September 27th . Along with the walk, there will be live music, demos, contests, food, vendors, and a kids’ area so it’s a perfect way to spend the day with your family. This great event is being put on by the Valley Humane Society with 100% of the proceeds benefiting their rescued dogs and cats. If you’d like more information about the event and information on how to register to participate, please go here: http://pawsinthepark.valleyhumane.org/. We would love to see you out there, with or without your pet, for such an important cause!

So that’s where we’ll be in September! We’re adding new events all the time so please be sure to check our Activities Calendar regularly – if you can’t make these events, we hope to see you at the next one!

Come hang out with us this month!
