How/Why did you get started in this field?

Nikolett - Photo 2.pngI have worked at a local veterinary hospital for ten years now. I also donate food at the local shelter and it breaks my heart seeing these pets in cages, given up because some of them have behavioral issues that could be altered with proper training. I didn’t want to see my clients pets end up in there either.  I have worked with many clients that were on the verge of giving up their pets to the shelter or re-homing them because they couldn’t handle their pet’s behavior. So I started training their pets and them.

How many years have you been in business? What cities do you service?

I started with clients four years ago . It was extremely rewarding to see my clients and their dogs respond so well with each other and none of them had given up their dogs. That inspired me to start my own business and now I am offering my training services to the public.

I work in the Tri-Valley and Castro Valley and will train in these areas. I like to meet clients at a central location.

Why is training important and what is the most important thing people should know about training animals?

It is crucial to train your pet as soon as you adopt or take them home. Your dog will develop his or her behaviors between 4-10 months. It will take less effort to modify any unwanted behaviors between the ages of 4-10 months, although any aged dog is trainable. I provide a healthy communicative life long relationship between a dog and its owner with my Basic and Advance training classes. As a veterinary technician, I have trained knowledge to identify if their actions are behavioral vs. symptomatic.

Who would benefit from having their pets trained?

Every pet owner who wants to be able to have their dog off leash and respond to them on the first command, have manners and their focus is on their family member and not the distractions of the world around them.

What are three commands you believe every dog should know?

Three important commands a dog must know are “wait” “stay” and “come”. A  fun important command they can learn is “army crawl”.
